Tiramisu de Laurentiis
Tiramisu de Laurentiis was a simple girl, growing up with a silver spoon in her mouth. Her family was rich, talented, connected, the works. Born in the town of Dekarium, Tiramisu was spoiled rotten, and often viewed with envy among her peers. This attitude towards her only encouraged her privileged, spoiled demeanor, which brought along a very bratty childhood.
Finding her talents at song, dance, and the arts of musical instruments early on in her life, Tiramisu was given full reign to do with what she wished when it came to indulging in the musical arts. And she did. It began as early as the age of four, Tiramisu demanded that she be given lessons. She trained diligently under a professional mentor, and although her entitled attitude nearly cost her dearly, almost causing her mentor to quit, she excelled in the field, and it was brought to her parents’ attention that she held an uncanny knack for song, a somewhat magical one, at that.
This only encouraged her parents to continue indulging Tiramisu in what she wanted, and by the time she was twelve, she was already competing in beauty pageants, just so she was given the opportunity to perform, to sing. Most of all, Tiramisu knew that all eyes were on her, and that’s exactly what she wanted. She was the center of attention, she was getting all of the praise, all of the glory for being such a delightfully powerful singer. This only fed her ego more and more, and by the time she reached adulthood, the sixteen year-old woman told her father that she was done living the little life, and wanted to go for something more lively, more extravagant.
She was confident her appearance, her talent, and her ‘charm’ could easily swoon others into liking her, even loving her, and it seemed that her confidence was well-earned. Her father denied this request, explaining that she should use this ability to support House Thrune, and move to a political position in Cheliax. But Tiramisu wasn’t having any of that. She couldn’t be the center of attention if she was a politician. She couldn’t have people admiring her every motion if she tainted herself with the science of politics. No, she fought her father’s request. She saw it best to seek out what she wanted, her father had provided it all her entire life, who was he to say ‘no’ to now?
After a small verbal altercation, Tiramisu left Dekarium, and made her way to Kantaria, where the diva thought it best to start off small before heading to the big city of Egorian. Booking performances at the local taverns was all right, and the money was decent, but the recent takeover of the town had really put a thorn in the diva’s side, and even though she was a supporter of House Thrune, what a better way to spread the word of her name than through war? Men and women that fought bravely would hear of her performances, and word would quickly spread of her beauty and skill. This was a perfect opportunity indeed, and it was one that she would not pass up.
Conveniently enough, her family was connected with the Archbaron Darellus Fex, and a letter came into her possession one day, speaking of the arrival of five select individuals, and the possible intent of the group. Between her father and Archbaron Fex, she was instructed to join the troupe. Of course, she initially rebuked such a request, knowing full well that this wouldn’t bring her fame. She wasn’t after infamy. But the more she played this out in her head, the more she could see herself going with this new troupe. If she played her cards right, she’d get the fame she so wanted and find a way to get her father off her back. Picking up the lute given to her by her father when she was nine, she set off to meet the one behind it all: Loredana Viorica. Turns out having met the woman before would definitely pay off, Tiramisu had performed at the Little Uskwood before…
